BEYOND FEAR: Transforming Your Relationship to
Death & Life
a 12 Week Online Program
Are you ready to engage in one of life's most profound topics?
Join us for a 12-week online learning journey designed to help you explore – and transfrom – your relationship with death and mortality. This program is tailored for those who are curious, open, and willing to engage with the often avoided, yet inevitable, subject of death.
If part of you is thinking, 'I have been waiting for this!', while another part is saying, 'Absolutely not. I am terrified', then you've come to the right place. We don't expect you to join this program without fear – we invite you to join it inspite of it. Stepping beyond that fear will help you to uncover personal insights and cultivate a deeper understanding of life and your place within it. This journey is as much about living fully as it is about facing death. It can empower you to live more fully and foster a greater sense of peace and acceptance.
Over six bi-weekly virtual group sessions and six virtual peers sessions (reflection circles) & intersession assignments, you will engage in deep, reflective work, both individually and within a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Guided by personal journal-style worksheets, this experience will equip you with tools, insights, and the compassionate space to confront the "fear that guides all others," as famously stated by the philosopher Montaigne.
What You Can Expect:
Safe Space: An intimate, confidential space where all emotions, fears and thoughts about death are welcomed and respected.
Profound exercises, practices & conversations: immerse yourself in well-facilitated exercises that can lead to profound insights and transformative shifts.
Deep Connection: Build intimate bonds with your cohort as you exchange personal insights and reflections in a safe, supportive environment.
A personal journal of the experience: We provide worksheets which will help you to document your reflections, capture insights, and engage with thought-provoking prompts.
Intersession Assignments: Individual and group tasks designed to deepen your learning between sessions.
This journey is not just about understanding death; it's about discovering how this understanding can profoundly enrich your life. Join us as we explore the ultimate mystery that connects us all.

Weeks 3-4: Grounding & Resources
It's crucial to ground ourselves, gather the right resources, and cultivate self-compassion before continuing our exploration of death. Together we’ll discover some practices and ideas that will strengthen our resilience so that we can navigate the profound emotions and challenges of this transformative process.
Weeks 5-6: Exploring Grief
Death and grief are deeply interconnected. But grief is much more than just a reaction to death. We’ll discover what grief is, our own experiences with grief and how grief can help us in changing our relationship to death..
Weeks 7-8: Befriending our Fear of Death
We will explore how our fear of death often shapes our lives and choices. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, you'll learn to acknowledge, understand, and transform your fear, allowing it to become a source of insight rather than an obstacle.
Weeks 9-10: Embracing Mortality
Acknowledging and accepting our mortality as a natural part of life can have a profound impact on our life. We will explore how we can shift from a fear-driven avoidance of death to a more open and mindful acceptance of it. Through reflective exercises and discussions, you will learn how to transform fear into a powerful motivator for living fully, allowing the awareness of death to enhance rather than diminish the experience of life.
Weeks 11-12: Integration & Meaning – Embracing Life with Death in Mind
Conclude the journey by integrating all you've learned, embracing life with a renewed perspective. We’ll focus on living authentically, aligned with your values, and carrying the wisdom of this journey forward into the rest of your life.

Hi, we are Cori and Patrick. Next to our passion for creating innovative formats and facilitating conversations, workshops and trainings we also share something else: We are both fascinated, while at the same time pretty scared about death. But we are convinced that there is also a lot to learn from death and how we decide to confront it. That is why we founded OverMyDeadBody (OMDB) - a (virtual) meeting place where we hold space for grief and loss and for people and organisations who seek learnings about life, personal growth and relationships by talking openly about death and everything that comes with it.
At OMDB we hold space for thoughts, ideas and emotions related to death, loss and grief – our fears, hopes and anguishes, as well as discussing bold new approaches and innovative schools of thought.
Together with you we want to spark community-driven change in how we talk about and handle the topics of death, grief and loss, breaking taboos one conversation at a time.
About Cori & Patrick
About Cori Moore
It’s known as society’s biggest taboo, but in my experience given the right space, speaking about death really opens people up and brings a lot of joy to those sharing. Death has been following me for years now – since writing my bachelor dissertation on suicide and self-harm prevention, to running game-based funeral design workshops with British pensioners, to co-developing a grief app. To some it may sound bleak, but there is nothing quite as uplifting and life-affirming as to facilitate these intimate and powerful conversations.
Patrick and I founded OverMyDeadBody in 2020, initally as a community initaitve, to open space for grief, death and loss. We were amazed ourselves to witness such strong bonds and candid conversations open up between people who had only met in a virtual space. We've broadened our scope over the years, to also offer Grief in the Workplace Trainings, coachings and learning journeys. This is the cumulation of the last 10 years of seminars, workshops, interviews, and countless projects, and I’m incredibly proud of what Patrick and I have to offer with OMDB.
About Patrick Liebl
Death has been a constant presence in my life from an early age, though I rarely spoke about it. It wasn't until I became interested in narrative work that I realized how essential it is to discuss and integrate challenging experiences – like death and grief – into our personal stories. Through this, I discovered how healing and freeing it can be to confront doubts, fears, and even hopes about death and grief.
Inspired by this understanding, I partnered with Cori to develop innovative formats and safe spaces for open, honest conversations about death and grief. I am a certified end-of-life companion (doula) and have been trained in grief work, Authentic Presence, and contemplative practices. Over the years, I have participated in numerous trainings and programs, which have deepened my connection to death and grief while strengthening my skills in facilitating both online programs and retreats. To further enrich my relationship with death, I volunteer at a hospice in Berlin, offering support and holding space for those in their final moments.
Many of the teachings I have received are rooted in Buddhist tradition, which also informs my work. However, neither the teachings I embrace nor my approach are ever dogmatic or exclusive. My goal is to ensure they resonate with each individual on their own terms.
What others say about us
“I cannot recommend OMDB enough. Patrick and Cori delivered workshops and grief sessions for us, as well as sharing advice on the grief process on our company podcast. The way our employees were supported and shown care for has truly made a difference to how participants processed their grief. Patrick and Cori provided a safe space for people to breathe, process and talk when they needed to. They also gave everyone the opportunity to take the time they needed as individuals, showing how everyone's journey is different. I am so grateful for their kindness, their understanding and the way they really listened and delivered on what we needed. Every company can benefit from the services of OMDB. ”
— Eileen Barnard, Principal Organisational Culture Manager - DE&I at Babbel
“OMDB provides a unique community to discover and learn more about such a human experience that is so often covered up. I left each meetup feeling lighter and most times having fun. This seems contradictory since the subject is death but that is the beauty of Patrick and Cori's unique approach. ”
— Yasmine Genena, OMDB meet-up participant
“Patrick and Cori have created a space for a topic that is often pushed aside in our daily lives but ultimately affects us all: death and loss. The conversations we had touched me deeply at times. However, this space isn’t solely for grief. It’s also comforting to come together as a group, to remember loved ones, and to cherish the moments we shared with them. ”
— Katja Wehling, OMDB meet-up participant
